Sol shares a dream she had on the Feast of Divine Mercy 2019
She explains how someone was raised from the dead through prayer, and how she was taken by angels to the Throne of Judgment; and how this was averted because she made sacramental confession.
‘In the early hours of the morning, just around 3am, I had a dream that I was in this place with thousands of people, from all different races and backgrounds. We were all waiting for something… I thought to myself, with this many people there’s no chance that I will be called straight away. So, I decided to walk around because I was curious about what other people were doing. Everyone was doing the things they loved doing, like being with family, eating food they love to eat, just being around their favourite cars, houses, yachts, etc, all the things they valued the most. Everything was so clear, like telescopic, because even in the far distance, I could see people very clearly. Then I entered into a room and there were people there, and my eyes went to someone who was lying in a bed, as if he were dead. So, I said: “What’s a dead person doing in here?” Suddenly, the man in the bed woke up and asked, “Who’s been praying for me? It’s because of their prayers that I’m alive again!”
After hearing that, I was in shock, and in an instant, like in a blink of an eye, I was taken to the Throne of Judgment by an angel, who started whispering into my right ear about my past sins… All of a sudden, I was covering my face with my hands, crying and pleading hard to God, telling Him, “Lord Jesus, I thought that You said, that if I go to confession and confess all my sins, You will forgive me and wipe out all my sins and You won’t remember them any more.”
Then I heard another whisper in my right ear telling me that He was just testing me, because he couldn’t really see any more sins. When I opened my eyes, I saw myself in a place with not much light, and in the distance, I could see a staircase going up and there was a bright light coming out of it. The angel pointed to the stairs and said: “I would have taken you up there to be judged!” I looked around and I saw many kinds of jewels on the floor – gold, diamonds, many different kinds of precious stones, and I asked the angel, “Why are these gems just on the floor? I wouldn’t have been able to afford such things.” The angel replied: “Those are just rubbish! People value them the most, when they are just rubbish!” Then I woke up! Terrified, shocked, like, frozen … It was Divine Mercy Sunday morning. And I was still in shock for a few days after that!
Before having this dream, I was sceptical about always going to confession, when you can just confess your sins any time – just you and God. I hadn’t really understood the value of Divine Mercy. Clearly, God was showing me the value of true confession and Divine Mercy, with the priest’s absolution.
