Everyone worships something, no matter what they think or say. For some is money and others it’s power or recognitions they yearn for. Something is always behind the influence of every decision or motive. If it’s not the true and living God then it can be a false god, an idol, something that moves a person to worhip something which is not the true and living God. People can become idols if they are adoured and worshipped even in an unreligious way. Footbal can become an idol if it;s followed religiously and worshiped like its the most inportant thing in one’s life. No matter what anyone says everyone worships something and if its not the true living God, as revealed through the Bible, our Lord Jesus Christ, then it’s a false god and will not lead to eternal life.

2 March 2024 at 2:29 PMWhat a good topic! Agree. We were ‘fearfully and wonderfully’ made by God; each of us unique, yet at the same time created in His own image. Our Heavenly Father loves us deeply, eternally, without measure, or any record of wrongs. And we love Him because he loved us first. We were made to worship Him, love Him and serve Him; in Him, we have our being. I believe we are at our happiest, and at our most whole, when worship Him. WE are then in unity, and in His Divine Will. When we don’t worship Him, we experience a God-shaped hole in our lives. God is in us, and we are in Him. To serve him and love him, and one another is why we are here.
