The 54 Day Rosary Novena is a series of 9 Rosary Novenas said in a sequential manner, one after the other, making it a total of 6 Novena’s made up of 3 Rosary Novena’s of Petition and then 3 Novena’s of Thanksgiving; thus forming 27 days of petition rosaries and 27 days of thanksgiving rosaries.

Brief History
Here’s a concise historical summary of the Blessed Virgin Mary and her title as Our Lady of the Rosary in the Holy Roman Catholic Faith:
The Blessed Virgin Mary
The Blessed Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus Christ, holds the highest place among the saints in the Catholic Church. Honoured as the Mother of God (Theotokos) since the Council of Ephesus (AD 431), she is venerated for her perfect obedience to God’s will, her immaculate conception (freedom from original sin), and her perpetual virginity. Throughout Christian history, Mary has been seen as the new Eve — the woman through whom salvation entered the world by her “yes” to God.
Origin of the Rosary
The Rosary developed as a meditative prayer combining vocal prayer and reflection on the mysteries of Christ’s life. Tradition attributes the promotion of the Rosary to St. Dominic (early 13th century), who received the devotion from the Virgin Mary herself during an apparition at Prouille, France. She instructed him to use it as a spiritual weapon to convert sinners and overcome heresy.
The Rosary evolved over time into fifteen mysteries (Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious), with the Luminous Mysteries later added by Pope St. John Paul II in 2002. The term rosarium means “rose garden,” symbolizing a spiritual bouquet offered to Mary.
Our Lady of the Rosary
The title “Our Lady of the Rosary” (Latin: Beatae Mariae Virginis a Rosario) was formally established after the Battle of Lepanto (1571). Pope St. Pius V attributed the Christian victory over the Ottoman fleet to Mary’s intercession, gained through the widespread praying of the Rosary. In thanksgiving, he instituted the Feast of Our Lady of Victory, later renamed Our Lady of the Rosary, celebrated on October 7 each year.
Meaning and Devotion
Under this title, Mary is venerated as the spiritual mother who leads the faithful to Christ through contemplation of His life, passion, and glory. The Rosary is considered both a prayer of the Gospel and a weapon of peace and conversion. Popes, saints, and apparitions—such as Fatima (1917)—have continually affirmed the Rosary as a powerful means of grace, protection, and renewal of faith.
