There is power in the name of Jesus: the power to heal and deliver. Even Jesus (whose name means “God saves”) tells us to invoke His name when we pray.
John 16:23 “Whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you.”
Matt 2:20-21 “Mary will give birth to a Son; and you shall name Him JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”
Phil 2:9-10 “God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name. In the name of Jesus every knee should bow.”
James 5:14 “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”
Acts 3:6 But Peter said, “I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene – walk!”
Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
